Ambient Recruiting is partnering with a well-established family medical practice in Traverse City to hire a compassionate and dependable Medical Assistant for its patient-focused healthcare team.

What You'll Be Doing
As a Medical Receptionist, you'll:
- Prepare patients for examinations and record vital signs
- Assist providers during examinations and minor procedures
- Collect medical histories and accurately update patient records
- Perform basic clinical procedures, including EKGs, injections, wound care, and specimen preparation
- Schedule appointments and help maintain efficient patient flow
- Answer phones and assist patients professionally
- Verify insurance information and collect copays
- Coordinate referrals and follow-up appointments
- Maintain clean, sanitized, organized, and properly stocked exam rooms
- Support providers and other team members with day-to-day patient care needs
What We're Looking For
Successful candidates typically have:
- Completion of a Medical Assistant training program preferred
- Previous medical office or clinical experience is a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfort working with EMR/EHR systems and computers
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy medical office
- Professional, compassionate, and team-oriented approach
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong attention to detail and respect for patient confidentiality
