About this role
Ambient Recruiting is hiring a reliable and safety-focused CDL-A Truck Driver to support operations in Grand Rapids, MI.
In this role, you will primarily make deliveries within a 2-mile radius of the plant campus, with occasional box truck driving throughout the week. Additional responsibilities include shipping and receiving, switching trailers, operating a forklift, maintaining warehouse organization, and providing production and material-handling support as needed.
Schedule
This position follows a rotating weekend schedule:

Monday & Thursday: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Saturday & Sunday: 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

The following weekend rotation: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM
Pay
$20.00–$30.00 per hour
Additional compensation includes:

$1.00/hour shift premium
-
Quarterly bonus incentive
Starting pay will be based on factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, training, and overall qualifications.
Responsibilities
-
Safely operate company vehicles and equipment, including forklifts and box trucks.

Deliver materials and products between facilities within a local plant campus.

Assist with shipping, receiving, and trailer switching activities.
-
Maintain organization within the finished goods warehouse.
-
Load and stack shipments according to traffic schedules.
-
Verify the accuracy of shipping requests and pre-shipment documentation.

Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies to the scheduling team.
-
Follow FIFO inventory rotation practices.

Utilize production management tools for scheduling and inventory placement.
-
Participate in cross-functional teams and provide production and material-handling support as needed.

Follow all safety procedures and company policies.

Perform occasional work outdoors in various weather conditions.
Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required, or PFC Level B with at least one year of related experience.

Valid CDL-A driver's license with no restrictions required.

Ability to safely operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment.

Strong math, communication, and interpersonal skills.
-
Good customer service and relationship-building skills.

Basic computer skills and experience with inventory management systems.

Understanding of inventory management and Bill of Materials (BOM) processes.

Familiarity with ISO/TS16949 procedures is preferred.

Flexible, dependable, trustworthy, and team-oriented.
