Ambient Recruiting is looking for a detail-oriented Finishing Specialist to join a growing manufacturing team in Grand Rapids, MI.
Position Details
- Job Title: Finishing Specialist – 2nd Operations
- Location: Grand Rapids, MI
- Shift: 1st Shift
- Pay: $20/hr
- Schedule: 7am-3:30pm
What You'll Do
- Prepare, sort, stack, wrap, and package finished parts
- Remove burrs and debris from parts
- Measure parts to specified lengths
- Assemble components using screws, bolts, and adhesives
- Drill/bore holes for final assembly
- Mark and stamp parts according to specifications
- Inspect parts for quality and ensure accurate counts
- Follow job travelers and detailed work instructions
- Complete required production and quality documentation
- Perform first-piece and last-piece inspections
- Maintain a clean and safe work area
What We're Looking For
- Manufacturing, assembly, or production experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and quality
- Comfortable working with measurements and basic math
- Ability to read and follow written instructions
- Basic computer skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Comfortable working with hand tools and performing repetitive tasks
