Ambient Recruiting is partnered with a manufacturing company in Vanderbilt that is actively hiring Production Operators for their growing production team. This role involves operating production machinery, inspecting parts, packaging products, and supporting daily manufacturing operations in a fast-paced industrial environment.
This is a great opportunity for candidates with manufacturing experience who enjoy hands-on work, learning new equipment, and working as part of a team.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Operate production equipment including presses, saws, benders, threaders, and buffers
- Load and secure materials into machines manually or with lifting devices
- Start machines, monitor operations, and adjust controls as needed
- Inspect and measure finished parts to ensure quality standards are met
- File, sand, shape, and clean machined parts
- Package and prepare finished products for shipment
- Read work orders and follow written instructions and production procedures
- Complete required production and quality control paperwork
- Use measuring tools including micrometers, pin gauges, and other inspection equipment
- Learn machine setup and operation for multiple production areas
- Follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE
- Support additional production duties as assigned by leadership
What We’re Looking For
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Previous manufacturing experience preferred (1–2 years minimum)
- Ability to read measuring tools and follow written instructions
- Basic math and reading skills
- Ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Dependable attendance and willingness to learn
- Comfortable working in a loud manufacturing environment
- Steel-toed boots required
